  1. The priority deadline for incoming students to apply to be accepted into the Music Department and for music scholarships was February 13th. You may still be considered after that deadline, by submitting your application and notifying the department: musicinfo@iastate.edu or 515-294-3831. If you wish to apply to ISU with an intended music major for Fall 2022, you must complete your application for admission to ISU and this application. Enrolling at ISU with a Music Major and any music scholarships are pending the review of your application and audition.

  14. All applicants must audition to be considered for the music program and scholarships. Auditions will be held February 17, 18, 19, 2022.

    Percussion audition: Concert snare drum solo/etude, Mallet Keyboard Solo (preferably four mallet marimba), Timpani solo/etude, Optional: You may also include materials from the following areas: Rudimental Style snare solo/etude Drum Set (variety of styles - jazz, latin, funk, rock)
  15. If you are unable to audition in person, you may provide a YouTube link for a video recording no more than 12 minutes in length.
