A black industrial engineering student Must be in good academic standing (can be on TE and making progress toward the degree) Must be a full-time student – 12 credit average Must be a U. S. citizen Two awards of half the earned interest are to be made with a minimum of $250 for each award. Special Conditions Award One: Admitted to the professional program Earned a minimum of 30 credits of which 20 are Iowa State University credits Has shown the greatest GPA improvement in courses applicable to the degree Award two: Admitted to the professional program Has earned a minimum of 90 credits of which 60 are Iowa State University credits Has shown the greatest GPA improvement in courses applicable to the degree Need is to be considered an important factor in determining the award. Active membership in IIE and/or NSBE. Conditions: The award shall be given directly to the student at the Spring Awards banquet to help defer the cost of education. Should no black student be available to qualify, the awards will be made to any Industrial Engineering student who otherwise qualifies.
