Arthur A. Collins Education Fund in Engineering

Recipients shall be enrolled in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, or the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering.. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall have demonstrated leadership skills. Recipients shall have an interest in a career in the aerospace industry. Preference shall be given in the following order as documented by the Office of Student Financial Aid and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy: a) Residents of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. b) Students with verified financial need. c) First-generation college students.
This award shall be made available to students with undergraduate class standing.

Administration: The Donor would like these scholarships to be of significant benefit to the recipients and would like fewer, larger scholarships awarded each year rather than several smaller awards. The Donor requests that at least one (1) student from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, one (1) student from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and one (1) student from the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering receive the scholarship each year.
