Maktoum Al Seiari Scholarship for Excellence in Cultural Understanding and Global Citizenship

Recipients shall be participating in the United Arab Emirates Study Abroad Program or any successor program that includes study of the United Arab Emirates as determined by the administering authority.

2. Preference shall be given in the following order as determined by the administering authority:

a) Students majoring in Chemical Engineering, Economics, Agricultural Economics, or Business Economics.
b) Students who have verified financial need, as documented by the University Office of Student Financial Aid.
c) Students who show an interest in advancing global citizenship.

This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.

Administration: In the case that the UAE Study Abroad Program has not been offered for two consecutive years or ceases to exist, the accumulated funds during that period may be offered as scholarships to students participating in travel or research related to Middle Eastern studies, so long as and conditioned on a written assurance to the Donor by the administering authority that the subject matter of the study abroad program shall include study of the United Arab Emirates. If, at any point in time, the UAE Study Abroad Program resumes, then the original intent of this Agreement holds.
