Wendy Marie Noteboom Ewell Scholarship

The Wendy Marie Noteboom Ewell Scholarship was established at Iowa State University for the benefit of qualifying art students. Wendy, age 30, died on July 8, 2005. She graduated from Iowa State in 1998 with a degree in biomedical illustration, studied at the Art Students League in New York City, and went on to establish a career as a successful painter. She exhibited her paintings widely throughout New York, Tucson, Ariz., and Michigan, receiving numerous awards and honors including a Special Opportunity Stipend from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Criteria: Awarded to a student who will be a junior or senior in the fall and are enrolled in the Department of Art and Visual Culture program in art and design BA and/or ISA BFA curriculum with preference given to female students studying in the fine arts. Recipients shall be enrolled as full-time students. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. This scholarship may be renewed.

Students selected to receive this scholarship will be expected to write a one-page thank you letter to the scholarship’s donor.
