Floyd Andre Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Agriculture
Recipient criteria: 1. Incoming freshmen admitted into the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences: a.) shall have graduated from a high school in the State of Iowa. b.) shall rank in the upper fifteen percent of their high school graduating class. c.) shall have a high school cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. d.) shall have an ACT or SAT percentile rank of 90 or higher. 2. Candidates for renewal of this scholarship: a.) shall demonstrate at least a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. b.) shall have earned 12.0 credits per semester from Iowa State University. c.) shall have completed Ag. Studies 111 and 112, or the equivalent courses during their freshman year. d.) shall meet or exceed the minimum leadership and/or extracurricular activity requirements as part of the scholarship for excellence program, as determined by the administering authority. B. Term: All awards shall be for one year but may be renewed for an additional three (3) years at the discretion of the administering authority so long as the recipient continues to meet the criteria stated above. C. Eligibility: This award shall be made available to incoming freshmen students. D. Distribution: This award shall be equal to or as close to the amount of in-state tuition, based on available earnings, in the year the award is made.
