Blizzard Family Scholarship

Recipients shall be majoring in construction engineering. Recipients shall have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Recipients shall be residents of the State of Iowa or the State of Illinois as permitted by Federal and State law, and University policy. Recipients shall have an ACT score between 24 and 28 or an equivalent SAT score. Preference shall be given to applicants who have served as volunteers in high school clubs or service organizations, have engaged in high school athletics or in music and/or theatre arts as determined by the administering authority. All awards shall be for one (1) year and may be renewed for up to one (1) additional year (for a total of two years) at the discretion of the administering authority so long as recipients maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate a high level of financial need as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid. This award shall be made available to incoming freshman students.
