Charles W. Nichols Agriculture Scholarship

Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences majoring in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Studies, Agricultural Systems Technology, Agriculture and Life Sciences Education, Agronomy, Animal Science, Dairy Science, Forestry, International Agriculture or Seed Science. The Donor acknowledges that the names of these programs may change over time and allows the administering authority discretion to award the scholarship to students studying new or similar agriculturally focused disciplines. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall be Iowa residents as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy. Recipients shall demonstrate leadership skills as determined by the administering authority and as evidenced by their active participation in extracurricular activities which involves directing actions, holding office, chairing committees, and/or receipt of awards. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations, or community service. This award shall be made available to students of junior class standing.
