Robert A. Martin Agricultural Education and Studies Undergraduate Scholarship

Recipients shall be enrolled in the Department of Agricultural Education and Studies either working toward the teacher certification or the agricultural communications option, as determined by the administering authority. Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. Recipients shall be participating in or been accepted to participate in an internationally focused experience such as a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences study abroad opportunity, as determined by the administering authority. Preference shall be given to students who demonstrate exemplary leadership skills as determined by the administering authority and as evidenced by their active participation in extracurricular activities which involves directing actions, holding office, chairing committees, and/or receipt of awards. Examples of extracurricular activities include involvement in recognized student organizations, professional organizations, or community service. This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.

The Donor would like these scholarships to be of significant benefit to the recipients and would like scholarships to be a minimum of $1,000 if possible based on available funding.
If Distributions allow for two (2) scholarships of $1,000 or more then both a teacher certification student and an agricultural communications student shall be selected. If funds allow for one (1) award each year the scholarship shall alternate between the teacher certification and agricultural communications options. In any year if there are no qualified recipients in one of the programs then the award should revert to the other program option.
