College of Design Opportunity Award

1) Recipients shall be enrolled in the College of Design.
2) Recipients shall be students who through their experiences, activities, artistic, and academic work will contribute to student body diversity, as determined by the administering authority and as permitted by Federal and State law and University policy.
3)Recipients shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
4)Applicants shall submit a portfolio as part of the required application.
5)First preference shall be given to students who have demonstrated financial need.
6)Second preference shall be given to students who are involved in student organizations or the activities of the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.

This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing.

This Account shall support one (1) incoming freshman student and one (1) 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year student each year. In the event there are no qualified incoming freshman students in any given year, then two (2) recipients of either sophomore, junior or senior class standing may be selected. Also, in the event there are no qualified sophomore, junior or senior class students in any given year, then two (2) incoming freshman students may be selected. Additional awards may be given when earnings to the Account have grown to a level that will support additional scholarships without reducing the significance of the awards.
