Ed and Nancy Lewis International Scholarship for Honors

Recipients shall be members of the University Honors Program. If in any given year there are no eligible Honors Program applicants the scholarship may be awarded to students who are not members of the University Honors Program but meet the criteria for membership in his or her college program as determined by the administering authority.
Recipients shall have been accepted to a study abroad experience endorsed by Iowa State University as determined by the administering authority. All awards shall be for one (1) semester and may not be renewed.
This award shall be made available to students of undergraduate class standing (including fifth year seniors).

Until the deferred gift for this scholarship has been realized the Donor would like one (1) scholarship in the amount of $1,000 or two (2) scholarships in the amount of $500 each to be awarded annually so long as funding is available. The Donor would also like yearly notifications of the amount needed to award scholarships.

These scholarships are intended to support students during their study abroad semester. The Donor requests a notification of the recipients’ majors as well as the locations of their proposed study abroad experiences once scholarships have been awarded. The Donor also requests a note from the recipients describing how he or she benefitted from the experience following the completion of the study abroad semester.
